Estes for Congress Announces Debate Schedule

Today, Congressman Ron Estes announced that the campaign to represent the Fourth Congressional District will feature five debates and forums. The debates will give Kansas voters the chance to see the stark contrast between Estes’ common-sense approach to problem solving and James Thompson’s radical, socialist agenda.

The debates and forums are as follows:

  • Pratt Chamber of Commerce Forum (8/30)
  • Kansas Chamber of Commerce Candidate Mixer (9/18)
  • KPTS / Wichita Eagle Live Debate (10/5)
  • KWCH12 Live Debate (10/17)
  • Butler County Farm Bureau / Butler County Chamber of Commerce Forum (Date TBD)

“I’m looking forward to a vigorous campaign, and that includes debates and forums where voters can see just how different my common-sense approach to problem solving is to James Thompson’s radical, far-left agenda,” Estes said. “We’re taking better care of our veterans and military personnel, protecting Social Security and Medicare, and lowering taxes on nearly every working Kansan. I’m proud of my record and message, and it will win on Election Day.”

“Ron Estes is our Kansas champion, and he’s worked to engineer common-sense solutions to the problems we are facing,” communications director Austin Gilpin said. “James Thompson is out of touch with Kansas voters and our values. He and his socialist friends would vote to more than double our taxes, make Nancy Pelosi Speaker of the House, and impose government run health care on the country. Voters have a clear choice: Ron Estes, our Kansas champion, or James Thompson, a radical socialist.”
