Ron’s Reads 11/6

Friend,

We’re just a few days away from Election Day on Nov. 8. I want to start today’s Ron’s Reads by saying “thank you” for all of your support. I know many of you have prayed, knocked doors, made phone calls, put together packets, donated, and told your friends and family about this election. Our victories will be shared because of all that you have done for me and other Republican candidates.

Below are a few links to help you in these finals days, including early in-person voting locations on Monday and an RSVP for our Victory Party Tuesday night.

A few reads to recap the week…
“As voting is about to conclude Tuesday in the nation’s midterm elections, data shows that one vote can matter more often than Americans might suspect.”

“This is the setting for President Joe Biden’s final-week campaign speech: The focused epicenter of America’s urban decline, where once bustling and beautiful spaces have been lost to crime, drugs, and the mentally ill.”
READ THE ARTICLE
“Russia has made some of its most provocative comments yet about Western commercial satellites, which have provided valuable imagery and communications data to Ukraine this year, suggesting they are appropriate wartime targets.”
READ THE ARTICLE
“President Joe Biden has accused oil companies of ‘war profiteering’ and is threatening to impose a windfall tax if they fail to boost domestic production — and improve the Democrats’ fortunes in the 2022 midterms. It is ugly political theater. Demanding private entities act on behalf of the party or face punishment from the state, as the president might say, is semi-fascisty behavior.”
READ THE ARTICLE
“More Americans are reporting a crime increase in their neighborhoods than at any point since 1972, when Gallup first polled the issue.”
READ THE ARTICLE
“Social media giants essentially granted government officials the ability to censor and suppress speech in the name of fighting ‘misinformation,’ by providing them direct access to flag posts and an open line of communication with senior executives, according to a report by The Intercept.”
READ THE ARTICLE
“The report identifies over 150 Chinese-born scientists who have worked on taxpayer-funded projects at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in the last two decades now conducting ‘sensitive’ research in China. Some of the research presently occurring in China has ‘military application, [including] hypersonic missiles, deep earth-penetrating warheads, [and] quiet submarines.’”“U.S. policymakers have moved to block federal agencies and critical networks from using some foreign-made technologies that pose a threat to national security. But state and local government entities in nearly every state have purchased technologies from banned companies in recent years to support a host of public services, according to a report from Georgetown University’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology released on Wednesday.”

“A new report shows that Democrat policies in cities and counties are responsible for rising crime rates in ‘their otherwise red states.’”

“Hostin said women who vote Republican are ‘like roaches.’ Hostin compared white, suburban women who vote Republican this year to ‘roaches voting for raid.’”
